Active members and units
The Aerie and Auxiliary cards count memberships whose status is active in each unit. Dues by Aerie and Auxiliary can also include a Social / other row; inactive, suspended, and deceased memberships are excluded from this summary. The illustration shows fictional figures in a reconstructed screen and has not been verified against a live club.
How a membership is grouped
A membership belongs to Auxiliary when its category is auxiliary or its assigned category name contains “aux”; a social membership belongs to Social / other unless that Auxiliary rule applies. Other memberships belong to Aerie. The grouping follows the saved membership record, not the member’s login activity.
Life members are part of the active total
Life members counts active memberships marked with a lifetime category or a life-member flag. It is a subset of the unit’s active memberships, so adding it to Active would count those memberships twice. A life-member designation alone does not make dues paid up; the saved dues status determines that.
What paid up means
Paid up combines current and exempt dues statuses. Dues paid up divides that total by all active memberships across Aerie, Auxiliary, and Social / other, then rounds to a whole percent. For example, 90 paid-up memberships out of 100 active memberships gives 90%; when no active memberships are returned, the card shows 0%.
Missing dues standing is a separate category
Not recorded counts active memberships whose dues status is unknown. It does not mean those members are paid up or that their balance is zero. Due soon and Overdue are separate saved dues statuses, rather than dollar amounts calculated by this table.
Dues at risk counts contacts, not dollars
Dues at risk counts active, non-exempt memberships on Members to contact about dues. That list includes overdue or due-soon statuses and memberships with a recorded paid-through date before the date 60 days ahead, including dates already past. It does not calculate money owed, and a current membership nearing its paid-through date can appear on the contact list while still counting as paid up.
Monthly initiations are a different measure
New members by month groups recorded initiation dates into the current month and the previous 11 months, through today. It includes memberships now active, inactive, suspended, or deceased, so it is not a count of currently active members and does not measure net membership growth. Missing initiation dates and future initiation dates do not contribute.
Why the monthly numbers can look different
Each monthly total includes Aerie, Auxiliary, and Social / other memberships. The text beside the bar names only Aerie and Auxiliary, so those two figures can add up to less than the total when Social / other memberships are present. The monthly export contains all three unit columns and a total.
Availability and incomplete data
These summaries are available for a club whose Eagles organization profile includes Aerie tools, and require permission to view members. Access to membership figures does not grant finance or report access. A zero or empty result can reflect missing records, insufficient access, or a loading failure, so it is not proof that the club has no members or dues contacts.
When a summary needs follow-up
Some membership load failures produce an error message, but not every empty section has an error beside it. In particular, Charity funds can be empty when finance or report access is missing; an empty charity section does not prove there were no contributions. A club administrator can help confirm your access and whether the underlying membership, dues, unit, and initiation-date records are complete.
Use each figure for its own purpose
Use active-unit counts for the current membership picture, paid-up figures for recorded dues standing, the at-risk count for follow-up volume, and monthly initiations for joining history. Detailed anniversary filters, contact exports, and charity entry are separate tasks.
